Buon Natale
**Just in time for the holidays...Luigi Mangione fanfic. We are in some TIMES, imma have my own fun**
1- If He Didn't get Caught...
He felt her before his brown eyes found hers. Always darker and sadder than his, now there was a hint of fear in her eyes. She sits across from him and looks down at his lone sausage and egg biscuit.
"You ask me to meet you here and you didn't get any fries?" She crosses her arms over her zipped jacket. Dr. Taylor Gaines was usually never nervous, she always felt in secure in situations thrown at her. Being a primary care doctor she was used to being thrown into random situations. She always took a breath and went at it, but this time she was at a loss. The situation was unlike anything she had encountered.
"It was rather selfish of me...but we know I am not selfish all the time." He unconsciously licked his full bottom lip and enjoyed watching her shift in her seat. He knew those kind of thoughts had no place here, but he couldn't help himself. When she was near his reaction was always carnal. He always wanted her.
"Why am I here? You shouldn't be here." She looks around and feels a little less anxious when she notices no one is paying them any attention in the semi-crowded McDonalds. Everyone in the world was looking for the man sitting across from her...except in the middle of nowhere Pennsylvania. He should be on the run- though she found it romantic he wanted to meet to say 'goodbye', after what he has done, he should be long gone. Taylor thought herself too smart to think a man, this man, would risk it all for a moment with her. Again, the romantic in her found it all so blissful.
Luigi Mascarpone would've normally been in another country at this point. You make the kill and you disappear. This situation was complicated from the beginning. Taylor was a complication and a risk, and there was no way he disappearing without her.
He pulls a backpack from under his seat and places it on the table in front of Taylor. She looks at it confused, he turns his hand palm up and wiggles his fingers for her to put her hand in his. Luigi's soulful brown eyes leave hers for a moment, he notes a woman behind the counter has been watching them for the last couple of minutes. His eyes go back to Taylor's when he feels her soft honey colored in his. It was his turn to shift in his seat, his body turned on by her touch. When he smiles, his eyes sparkle when she blushes.
"You have to come with me. I know you have your career here and I will make sure you will be able to heal wherever we are, but you have to come with me." He doesn't loosen his grip on her hand when she tries to take her hand away.
"I can't-" She is speechless when his face is suddenly close to hers, and then she is breathless when he kisses her. It starts slow and sweet and then builds as they remember where this could lead. His body remembers and now he was hard- she bites his bottom lip and now he hoped he could calm himself. He feels the woman behind the counter watching them again, this distraction helps.
Luigi drags his prominent nose across her cheek and whispers in her ear, "There is black SUV parked outside with an Italian flag hanging on the mirror. Go to it now." He kisses her cheek. Reluctantly he stands and then walks away from her.
Taylor didn't know why she didn't question him, she just knew to do as he said. For some reason she threw away the rest of his biscuit sandwich, grabbed the backpack off the table and headed out to the SUV. She didn't see Luigi and when she reached the car he wasn't there either. 'BEEP BEEP' She jumps when the SUV alarm makes the sound and suddenly Luigi appears and is opening the drivers side.
"Get in." He looks at her and then turns on the ignition. Taylor does as she is told and the car takes off before she can barely get her seatbelt on.
They drive in silence while he drives off the main road for a while. They slow down next to a tan sedan. Luigi turns off the car and looks at Taylor who is clutching the knapsack in her lap. To calm her, he rubs the back of her neck. Her beautiful almond shaped eyes blink slowly and then she turns to look at him.
"Im sorry about this- and now our time is very limited." He starts...
"Luigi, you killed a man and asked me to meet you at a McDonalds in the middle of nowhere...we just ran from that McDonalds after you asked me to run away with you-"
"I just had to kill someone else who recognized me." Luigi is nonchalant when he says this. Taylor's mouth drops. "Taylor, we have to leave the country-"
"We don't have to do anything-"
"There's a change of clothes in the bag along with new identification. I am going to get into the car parked next to us. If you choose to come with me, you will get in the car and we will drive to the airport." He leans close to her. His eyes go from her eyes to her lips. "You know that first kill I was ordered to do. It just worked out it was who it was...you only know about it and what I do because I care about you. Please come with me." He pulls her head close to his and kisses her passionately. She moans as he runs his long fingers through her curly hair. Just as quickly as he started kissing her, he stops. His forehead on hers, both breathing heavy. He whispers, "Please."
Luigi gets out of the car hoping that he would be able to drive away if Taylor chose not to go with him. She had every reason to stay, but he hoped the strong feelings he felt for her were mutual.
Taylor watched Luigi get into the tan sedan. She touches her lips, they felt swollen from his kisses. She sighs. She opens the backpack and pulls out an outfit similar to his- a hoodie, jeans and a tee shirt. They would look like a young couple traveling together though she was five years older than him. Thanks to genetics and mediation, she looked to be around his 26 years.
She remembers when they first kissed and pulling his t-shirt over his head revealing abs, pecs and arms unlike anything she had seen in person. His hard body against her softer one. His soft full lips kissing her everywhere....
Taylor shakes those thoughts from her head. Was she actually considering running away with this man? This person who has killed two people-that she knows of. A man she has only known for a few months. Was she considering going with him because of the sadness in his eyes and amazing sex? Was she willing to give up the isolated life she was establishing...
Their eyes meet, Luigi staring at her from the driver side of the sedan. Taylor still in the passenger side of the SUV.
He smiles when he sees her unzip her jacket and start to put on the clothing he left for her in the backpack.
2- What Lies Beneath?
Taylor's low heels echoed in the hospital corridor. She stops at a door that reads 'Dr. Taylor Gaines' and looks down at the chart in her hands again. With a hand on the knob she sighs and opens the door. Maria Mascarpone and what looks to be her son turn to look up at her. They are both seated in front of her desk. Taylor fought to keep her face neutral even when she saw the brief fire in the son's eyes. He eyes her and then looks back down at where he held his mom's hand.
"Hello Mrs. Mascarpone." Taylor goes to sit behind her desk.
"Hiya Dr. Gaines- this is my son Luigi." He looks at Taylor and nods.
Taylor takes a breath and goes into detail about the specialists Maria needs for her uncommon cancer. Like with all her patients, Taylor maintains a neutral tone and face as she gives the most devastating news a person can hear. She almost breaks when Maria tears up and Luigi pulls her close. He whispers in ear and she smiles a little. Taylor stands and hands Luigi a folder with all the information she gave he and his mom.
"Please reach out to me at any time..." She stops when he takes her hand. His eyes smoldering.
"Thank you. You have been kind to my mother and I appreciate that." He lets her hand go and helps his mom stand up.
"Of course..." Is all Taylor can get out as she watches them leave her office. Once the door closes behind them, she puts her head in her hands.
-----------------
As the months passed, Taylor checked in with Maria via Luigi. She seemed to be doing okay and then took a turn for the worse. Taylor sat at her desk preparing to write a hopeful email to Luigi when there were two soft knocks on her door.
"Come in." She stands immediately when Luigi walks in. He closes the door behind him. The look on his face makes her come from behind her desk and hug him. They hold onto each other silently for a while.
"She's dead..." His voice breaks a little.
"What? How?" Taylor usually didn't get this emotional but something about Maria, and Luigi's soulful eyes.
He explains how none of the specialist could agree on the best treatment and then when they did, insurance wouldn't cover it. They paid out of pocket for medication and for the treatment, then insurance found a loophole, but by then it was too late.
She realized that even as he told his sad tale, they never let go of each other. Before she could think better of it Taylor began kissing Luigi. He was apprehensive at first, then grew passionate nudging her backwards towards her desk with his muscular thighs. They pulled clothing off of each other with Luigi only stopping to dramatically knock things off her desk. They both chuckle.
Luigi didn't come here with the intent to make love to Dr. Taylor Gaines, he just knew he had to see her. He felt drawn to her, like a magnet. Her lips were on his neck as his fingers became slick with her wetness as rubs into the warmth between her legs. Taylor moans with pleasure, even her hard desk on her back didn't match Luigi's hard length that slid fully into her. She grips his shoulders and throws her head back.
"Luigi..." she moans, he grunts as he rhythmically thrusts in and out of her. She bites his chin and begs him to never stop.
After both muffling the sounds of their climaxes, breathing heavy, they both lay on Taylor's desk for a moment. They get dressed and Luigi smiles as he asks her out for dinner. He wished he did that first, but they both had no regrets.
The next few weeks were filled with sadness and passion. Taylor held Luigi's hand at his mom's funeral, they ignored the stares and whispers. About a month later Luigi shows up to Taylor's apartment one evening. He hands her a single rose, which he did every time they met up in person. He kisses her cheek, takes off his Timberland boots and goes to sit on her sofa. Taylor could tell something was on his mind. Sniffing her rose she joins him on the couch and puts an arm around his broad shoulders.
"What's up?" She sniffs his neck, he smelled like spicy fresh laundry.
He takes a deep breath, "Because of my access to things and non assuming looks...I was recruited by a powerful international group." Luigi watches Taylor roll her eyes, "I know that sounds like a movie plot, but it's true. I've been given orders."
"You're like a spy?"
"No, I'm an assassin." He watches as she starts to pace her spacious living room.
"Assassin. As in you kill people?"
"Only if they deserve it." He stands in front of Taylor to stop her from walking. He pulls her close to him by her waist and kisses her forehead. "I'll be in touch."
"What? You're just leaving...to kill?"
"I have to fulfill my orders. I will be in touch." He kisses her deeply and then leaves the apartment. Taylor is left standing in the middle of her living room hugging herself missing Luigi's warmth.
About two days later, Taylor lay on her couch sipping tea and watching daytime TV when it was interrupted by breaking news.
'Good Afternoon, I am Alexandra Noble and here is our top story. Brian Thompson, CEO of United Healthcare was just shot several times and killed in front of the hotel where the United Health shareholders meeting is being held...'
Taylor's mouth drops as she watches footage of the shooting. Though she had only known him for a short time, Taylor knew the way Luigi's body moved. Her phone beeps from a text. She looks down to see an unknown number. She knew it was him.
Unknown Number: Taylor, I am sending an address that is 10 miles outside of Philly. Be there there tomorrow at 11AM.
Unknown Number: Mi amore una baci
Taylor holds the phone to her chest with no doubt in her mind that she would be meeting with Luigi. Her lack of hesitation didn't worry her, she knew Luigi had his reasons and she would have his back.
3- Buon Natale
The air smells of grass and lemons as the small car went along the two lane dirt road. Taylor places her head out of the open window enjoying the space of the back seat of the car after the long flight to Italy. Luigi and his uncle Stanley Tucci are seated in front with Stanley driving speaking excitedly in Italian. Taylor smiles, she loved to see Luigi so happy.
They pull up to Stanley's olive farm house. Luigi's uncle opens Taylor's car door and takes her hand as he pulls her from the car. Luigi comes around to stand at her side.
"Welcome to Casa Tucci. Come let me show you around...Luigi do you remember coming here?" Stanley takes Taylor by the arm.
"Not really..." Luigi follows them. Stanley shows them around the spacious farm. He explains that he has a Vespa out back that they can ride into town to work at the family owned gelataria. Taylor had to admit she was pretty excited about this new less stressful lifestyle.
Later that night as they cuddled in bed, Luigi and Taylor whispered excitedly about their new life. He tells her about how the town square gathers around a Christmas tree that the nuns decorate, and they all sip wine and sing. With everything going on he forgot that it was the holiday season.
"Thank you." He says. His eyes stare deeply into hers.
"Uh...you're welcome." She kisses his cheek.
"Thank you for giving up everything for me. I promise to make you happy. No regrets." She tries to answer but he kisses her and feels him against her thigh. She pushes him back on the bed and climbs on top of him. She decides to thank him with her body.
-----------------------
It only takes a week for them to get accustomed to their new lifestyle. Each morning they take the Vepsa into town and have breakfast at little cafè. They then head to the Gelateria to prep for the day. Taylor enjoys the sweet smells and cool air. Her biggest emergency is running out of pistachio gelato. She loved it.
Luigi realized he loved her as they stood singing Christmas carols, drunk off wine with the townspeople surrounding the largely lit tree.
"Buon natale." She screams in his ear.
He laughs and kisses her, "I love you!" She stops laughing and blinks rapidly. She gulps the rest of her wine and kisses him sloppily. He lifts her off the ground.
-----------------------
Taylor sipped her cappuccino as she discussed Senor Garabaldi's breathing issues one morning as she and Luigi were grabbing breakfast. Luigi had to step outside for a call. She notices his serious face when he comes back in and with his eyes he causes her to end her conversation and walk over to him.
"I have to go. I have a job." He takes her free hand and kisses it.
"Okay, I'll be here." She says. She almost drops her cup when pulls her towards him and kisses her.
"Soon I will give up this life and I will be forever yours." He kisses her again to seal his promise with a kiss.
La Fine.
